US sees large decrease in CDC-recommended routine vaccinations

Outcomes from a recent study commissioned by GSK and conducted by Avalere correlate with other reports that the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted routine vaccinations, a longstanding pillar of both workplace health and wellbeing programming, as well as public health initiatives. From the research, approximately 26 million CDC-recommended vaccine doses were missed in 2020 across commercial, managed Medicaid, Medicare Advantage and Medicare fee-for-service Part B for the period from January through November 2020.
