Here are some interesting results from a small study on #wearabletech uses beyond activity monitoring, such as steps and sleep. Based upon the outcome of this Stanford University study, metrics such as heart rate, electrodermal activity and temperature data correlated with clinically derived measures, such as lab diagnostics. Correlations were found between heart rate values and blood cell counts, electrodermal activity and dehydration as well as decreased in physical activity when immune activity was high, representing when people were battling a cold or influenza.
